What we've been up to lately...

I know I haven't blogged in a while but I have been super busy with soccer games, work, school clothes shopping, and of course reading BREAKING DAWN! I was so excited to read the book but I am just not a fast reader so it took me a few extra days. I have to say that I was very pleased with the book and kinda relieved to have it over. I am a little sad too. I won't say too much to spoil anything but I thought it should have been two books. Can you say way too much info going on! Well, I think my family was just as relieved for me to be done. Now I actually have to do something around the house. UGH! We haven't been doing too much since we got home from camping. Madisyn has played in two soccer tournaments and has another one this week. She did so good at this last one. She scored a goal and almost made a couple more. We have been doing some barbequing and just hanging out with family and friends. Last night we went to the Monster Truck races at Rocky Mountain Raceway. Trent gets tickets from work and so we usually go every year. Chad, Austin, Braden, Matt, and Cody joined the four of us. Braden was pretty amazed at the trucks and I think he had the most fun. It was his first time so he thought it was pretty cool. The other kids all had a blast as well. Us adults had fun just people watching. That was more entertaining than the trucks at some times. I posted some pics from last night since I haven't taken too many lately.

The Great Outdoors

We just got home from a week long camping trip to Marsh Lake. We left last Monday morning and headed for the Uintah Mountains. We found a place to camp just between Bridger Lake and Marsh Lake and set up camp. It was so pretty up there. Although I could have done away will all the bugs. They were everywhere!! There were these Big Giant Black Beetles with Huge antennas that even scared the men! Tyker's blood must taste good to them cause he has bites everywhere, even after being hosed down with bug spray. Monday was a nice day, but then Tuesday came and Holy Cow, it rained harder than I've ever seen it rain in my life! It was hailing and everything. It pretty much rained all day so we just hung out in the trailer and the kids played their Nintendo DS's. The rest of the week was pretty nice until we were packing up and then of course it had to rain again. Our friends the Flints and the Youngs came up later in the week and we had alot of fun with them. The kids all got along great and had so much fun. They spent most of their time down at the rope swing. The kids wanted to go fishing so they loaded up their stuff and headed down to the lake. We didn't think anyone would come home with anything but sure enough Morgan caught two and Dylan Young caught one. Tyker caught one the next morning and Morgan caught another one! She sure is quite the little fisherman. We took the 4-wheelers to go riding. We found some pretty cool trails and got just a little muddy. With Tyker driving your sure to get wet from all the mud puddles. Madisyn handled all the trails like a pro and Tyker even went on trails on his own 4-wheeler. He was pretty proud of himself. The trip was a blast and I'm so glad we went. Thank you to Chad and Candice for letting us use your trailer. We greatly appreciate it. You spoil us too much!!

Yesterday we babysat Tatum and London so I thought it would be fun for them to swim. They swam and jumped on the tramp and swung on the swingset. I of course had my camera and I was trying the different color options and took tonz of pics so I thought I would try to make a cute slideshow. I thought it turned out pretty cute for my first one. We also went to the pool again today, ( that's usually how we spend our summer sunday afternoons), and I took a few pics there as well. My family is really getting used to me having my camera attached to my face and every time I take a picture they all say "Can you say blog". It's just I love you guys so much I have to show you off!!

So I was looking at Kelsey's adorble blog and found this little game she put on hers. I thought it would be fun to play it too! I'm excited to see who will respond and their memories of us.
